SAROF provides capacity-building support to its partner organizations in areas such as:

  • Monitoring, evaluation, and learning: Developing MEL frameworks and using data for decision-making.

By offering this support, SAROF can strengthen its partners' ability to effectively support and advocate for refugees in Southern Africa.

SAROF plays a key role in resource mobilization for RLOs and CBOs by:


  • Providing capacity-building: Training in fundraising, resource mobilization strategies, and proposal writing.


  • Facilitating access to donors: Sharing information, organizing networking events, and brokering partnerships.


  • Supporting joint fundraising initiatives: Forming consortia, developing joint proposals, and coordinating campaigns.


  • Offering technical assistance: Proposal writing, M&E guidance, and donor reporting support.


  • Promoting visibility and credibility: Showcasing impact, storytelling, and advocacy.


  • Leveraging existing networks: Utilizing SAROF's relationships for partnerships and funding opportunities.

Here are some ways SAROF can assist:

  • Facilitating partnerships: Creating partnerships with volunteer organizations, corporations, and communities.

  • Supporting evidence-based      advocacy: Conducting      research, providing access to resources, and developing joint reports.


  • Promoting collaborative      advocacy: Organizing      campaigns, establishing networks, and facilitating cross-border advocacy.

SAROF offers several education programmes focuses on empowering refugee-led organisations (RLOs) and CBOs, through education, promoting self-sufficiency, integration, and social mobility and this program will be achieved through:

  

  • Advocacy: Advocating for refugee and asylum seekers children to have access to high education.


  • Partnership: Create a partnership with institutions of high learning to create accessible scholarship and bursaries for asylum seekers, refugee and forcibly displaced people.  


  • Support: Enhance literacy, numeracy, and language skills.


  • Social Cohesion programs: Foster cultural exchange, understanding, and social cohesion.


  • Sponsorship: Develop economic empowerment to support refugee, asylum seekers and forcibly displaced students in accessing higher education, supporting them financially through our member organisations and SAROF Regional body.

  • Supporting resource      mobilization:     Assisting with fundraising, providing grants, and developing joint      proposals.

  • Advocacy and policy influence: Supporting campaigns,      representing CBOs, and developing advocacy tools.
